Allah is saying, “Follow My path, and I will provide for you from sources you could never imagine.” But why does my mind only think about material gains like money and prosperity? Why doesn’t it occur to me that Allah is the true Beloved and the most genuine friend? Is He planning to let me drown? No, He is talking about guiding me, calling me closer to Him, and inclining me towards His remembrance. Allah says, “We will grant you the ability (taufeeq) to do so.” Our greatest unrest stems from the fact that we only look for material aspects in everything.
