The Pleasure of Sin

In the community of Bani Israel, there was a very devout worshipper who constantly repented to Allah. However, there were no signs of the acceptance of his repentance. He approached the Prophet of his time, asking him to intercede for him. Allah said, “Even if the entire universe intercedes, I will not accept his repentance until the pleasure of sin is removed from within him.” Let’s raise our hands and tell me, we have made mistakes and we say we have repented, but have we truly removed the pleasure of sin from within us? How can I be at peace? Where will peace come from? Peace comes from a relationship, a connectivity. It’s a two-way relationship, and peace comes when all the veils between the Creator and the creation are lifted.
