Iblis’s Weapon The company of a saint (faqir) brings you to a realization that what is meant for you should be your source of contentment. In it lies your happiness. When we have four, we wish for eight; when we get eight, we desire sixteen. You see, the greatest weapon of Iblis is to instill the fear of poverty in humans, leading us to withhold spending in Allah’s way. We fear our money will run out, thinking, “I have earned it with great effort.” What does “وَ مِمَّا رَزَقْنٰهُمْ یُنْفِقُوْنَ” mean? If we claim to be Muslims, then the Quran rightly says, “هُدًى لِّلْمُتَّقِیْنَ”. It is guidance for the righteous.
