Sometimes accidents are not the end — they are awakenings.
A devoted follower of Qalandar Baba Bukhari (RA) shares a life-changing experience.
After a severe accident, doctors told him his leg might have to be amputated.
In that painful moment, he realized something profound: how blessed he had always been — to walk, to run, to stand on his own feet — blessings he had never truly valued.
By Allah’s mercy, the leg was saved.
But here is the deeper truth: once the danger passed, he slowly slipped back into ghaflat (heedlessness).
Just like many of us, the shock faded… and gratitude faded with it.
This is the nature of human beings — we remember Allah intensely in hardship, then forget in comfort.
Through the nisbat of Qalandar Baba Bukhari (RA), his awareness began to change.
Gratitude became more conscious.
Blessings became visible again.
Not perfectly — but progressively.Because gratitude is not a one-time feeling.
It is a journey. A process. A continuous awakening.Sometimes Allah shakes us — not to break us — but to open our eyes.
